It’s been a long time since I posted anything on my blog but now I'm back from Alberta. Here are some really cool and fun things that we did:   

IN JULY

In the first couple of weeks we went dinosaur hunting. it was really fun.   Later that month we went to Jasper. There I got a note book and some mint-chocolate fudge.

IN AUGUST

One of the first thing things we did was the Westlock Parade (I was in it!).  Then we had the 1st family reunion where my aunts and uncles and cousins. Then the 2nd one had ALL of my great aunts and uncles and 2nd cousins! (wow that’s a lot!). Last but not least we went to West  Edmonton Mall twice!  I had a lot of fun!

Last week we got used to life with everyone here. We went with Meme on her job, doing some deliveries. We read a lot of Archie comics for the drive because there was nothing else to do. It was  a long drive.

When we got there, I got into the back and helped unload the van. Then we unloaded some of the other van. After that we left to go back home.

On Saturday I did a lot of crafting. I made a couple bookmarks. My favourite was the one I made my mom. It has a dragon on it (the picture is above).

Sunday when I got up, no one was home except my mom and sister. Everyone else was at church. Tante Angela came over for breakfast and we had pancakes. She brought over a latchhooking mat that has Winnie the Pooh and Tigger on it. I get to work on it until its done. If its not done by my last work here, then I don't get to keep it. I better work fast (I will give you a picture when its done)!

After lunch we went to visit one of my tante and uncles. They have four kids. We played a lot. Uncle Michael, uncle Aaron and my cousin Alois went to have a paintball war. They had two rounds. The first round I watched them, the second round I played with my cousin Pauline and my tante Gabriella.

Now its Wednesday and today when I got up I had breakfast. After a while I went to go help Meme with her deliveries again. During that time, my sister, my mom, tante Gabriella and I went to a water park. I did not join in. Then we had A&W for lunch. I had a chocolate milkshake, a teen burger and fries.

After that, my sister, tante Gabriella and I washed Meme's delivery van. Then we went shopping (but tante Gabriella and I went to a school playground instead). When we got back we had dinner, then I posted my blog.

 
 

 Well it's been a week and a day so far. On June 30th, I arived in Edmenton at 11 o'clock NB time (New Brunswick time). We went to my grandmother's house, her name is Meme. There I saw most of my Tante's (aunts) and Nonkles (uncles). I got my pijamas on, said goodnight to everyone and went to bed, because, like I said, it was 11 o'clock NB time. The next morning when I got up not everyone was there. It was just my mom, Meme, and a few of my tantes and one nonkle. We played around until lunch time then I think we went outside after lunch. We came back in for supper. I did a puzzle after supper. It was a 3-D puzzle.  Then I went to bed. The next day I had to get up bright and early and get dressed into a nice purple dress (sorry, no pictures) because I had to go to a funeral for my great-grandfather. It started at 10:30. After that we had lunch there and my Tante Gloria and Uncle Phil and their little 1-1/2 year old Mariah went home with us because I was going to spend five days with them.  We went home and Meme was not home yet because she was visiting with my great-grandmother, Metje. So we played croquet. My mom won the first round, then I played against my uncle Phil and lost (again). Then my mom packed me and I don't remember what I did during that time. When she was done, after supper I left to go to with my tante and uncle and Mariah. Now its Wednesday and I just got back from tante Gloria and uncle Phil's house yesterday. That was my first week and a day here in Alberta.

Hey everyone,  I just wanted to show you a sculpture that I made in school. It's a Mallard Duck (a male to be exact). First you roll up some newspaper in the shape that you want (for example a rounded rectangle for the body), then tape it so it will stay together. Continue to connect the shapes together until you have you  that shape you want. Next you mix some water and glue (half & half) and rip up some paper towel (the school kind works best ). Add the paper towel by over lapping\ gluing. After that paint!

The other day my class and I went to the Irving Nature Park to learn about marshes, what lives in (and near) them and what they do for us. The 1st thing that we did was an to help us learn what lives in the marshes. What we had to do was catch some of the marsh creatures. It was called "Marsh Monsters". The 2nd thing that we did was a game to help us learn about the thing that a marsh and other wet-lands do for us and other creatures. The 3rd and final thing we did was bird watching. As a bonus, we got to see a ducks nest that was torn up by a fox. It was super fun!
